Trauma

Trauma refers to disturbing or distressing events that overwhelm one's ability to cope, causing intense fear and long-lasting effects on wellbeing. It can stem from single events or ongoing childhood stressors like abuse.
Common symptoms include flashbacks, anxiety, emotional distress, physical symptoms, and dissociative episodes. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is commonly diagnosed.
At Mindagon, our trauma-informed psychotherapy focuses on safely processing past memories while building coping skills and emotional regulation capacity. By incorporating mindfulness and holistic healing, we empower survivors to transform their trauma into resilience while preventing future revictimization or self-harm.
