Personality disorders
Personality disorders involve inflexible, disruptive patterns of thinking, feeling and behavior that impair functioning. Symptoms mainly manifest in how people relate with others and regulate emotions unlike other disorders.
Types include borderline, obsessive compulsive, narcissistic, histrionic, dependent, antisocial, avoidant, paranoid and schizoid personality disorders. Those affected often struggle with stress, maintaining relationships, impulsivity, valuing others and perceiving situations accurately.
At Mindagon, we take an integrative approach to healing personality disorders combining psychotherapy modalities like DBT and CBT with mindfulness practices, emotion regulation skills training, distress tolerance techniques, interpersonal effectiveness coaching, and medication management tailored to each client’s unique symptoms.
