ADHD
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention, hyperactivity and impulsiveness interfering with daily life. Those with ADHD struggle inhibiting behaviors, concentrating, staying still, following instructions, and completing tasks.
Common childhood symptoms include constant fidgeting, extreme distractibility, disorganization, frequent interruptions, reckless behavior, excessive activity and talking levels, and inability to relax.
Symptoms often persist into adulthood, affecting relationships, work performance and self-esteem. Diagnosis requires observable impairment in school, home and other settings.
Here at Mindagon, we develop holistic treatment plans for ADHD involving mindfulness practices to improve concentration, impulse control and emotional self-regulation along with environmental modifications, therapy, nutrition and skills training.
